Jeff and Beth (& their "kids")

It's always a new challenge for me when I get the chance to photograph people with their pets. I love a challenge, so this was great. Not just 1 puppy, but 2. My arm waving didn't quite work with little Mulligan (the basset hound). He's blind. And Cassie (the boxer) is as far from blind as you can get. She was interested in checking out everything that moved nearby. Maybe it was the fake meow's or barking that got their attention? At least it worked for the people. I was excited for the end result. Plus, you can't get a bad picture of Jeff and Beth. Beth, thank you for being one of my very best customers. I hope you like your sneak peek.

Newborn Mela

Oh my gosh! I forgot how tiny little baby newborns are and oh so cute! I had the honor today of visiting with Nathan, Monica, and Mela for Mela's first photo shoot. Mela is a little less than 1 week old. She was such a sweetie. Thank you so much Monica and Nathan, for inviting me into your home for such a precious time in your lives. You sure have a little angel. I these photos bring a smile to your face like they did mine.

Melia's Christmas

This morning I captured some shots of my favorite model, my daughter, Melia. We always try to get some photos for Christmas cards. I can't believe how much a little girl can change in just one year. Just for fun, I will post one from last year at the end. Hope you are having a happy holiday season!

Jill, Kyle, and Elizabeth

I met Jill, Kyle, and Elizabeth on campus today to do some photos for a Christmas card. It was the perfect overcast day all day...of course until our session time when it started to rain. Luckily, they are a fun family and still wanted to give it a shot. I think we came out with some great photos (but how could you not with subjects like them). Thank you, Jill, for taking a chance on someone you didn't know and braving the weather. I hope you like the sneak peek and will be in touch soon with your gallery link.

Monica - Belly Time

waiting....

Who would have thought we would have seen 70 degrees on Nov. 8? When Monica and I booked this session, I was hopeful it would be warm enough for sweaters and no jackets. Luck on our side, we didn't even need that. I had a lot of fun today with Monica and Nathan (and of course their puppy, Rigsby). They are expecting their first bundle of joy in December. I felt so fortunate to have such a beautiful model for my first maternity session. Monica, thank you so much for trusting me to capture this precious time in your life and best wishes in the month to come. I hope you like the sneak peek.

Casey and Jon - Engagement

Engagement sessions are so much fun. I got together with Casey and Jon to catch some shots of them on Purdue's campus -- where they got engaged. We had a great afternoon with beautiful fall weather. It was hard deciding just a few to post for the sneak peek. Casey and Jon, thank you for sharing your afternoon with me and allowing me to capture such a special time in your lives. I hope you like the portraits.

Tony - Harrison class of 2010

Tony did great the day we shot his senior portraits. We started with family portraits (you will see if you scroll down a couple of posts) and ended the day with just him. Unfortunately, the sun came out in full force by the time we started his shots. However, we had a lot of fun and got some great pics. Tony (and Julie), I hope you like your sneak peek.

The Thomas Twins

I have to admit...I was a little nervous for a photo shoot with twins who are just under 3. I am happy to report that I was nervous for no reason. Hadley did such an awesome job as a mom in helping to get the boys to participate long enough that we were able to get some adorable pictures. These little boys were so sweet and listened so well to their parents. Hadley, thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to capture the art of your life. I hope you like the sneak peek.

Roush Family

I was thrilled a couple of weeks ago to get the call from Julie. She requested to get together and do some family portraits as well as her son's senior shots. I knew her previously because she and her husband, Mike, trusted me to photograph their wedding. They gave me the opportunity to get a wedding under my belt and liked it enough to come back for more. :) Thanks again, Mike and Julie. I hope you like the photos. We sure hit the peak of color!

Jeremy - Round 2

Fall photos are some of my favorite to take. Nature provides such awesome color, with comfortable temperatures and not so blazing sun. I had the chance to add to Jeremy's senior portrait gallery and am so happy with the results. Thank you again, Ranae and Jeremy for hanging out some on Saturday and enjoying the beautiful day with me. I hope you like the sneak peek of round 2.
